Social Media Tools

As the world of social media continues to grow and grow so do the amount of tools available to the P.R professional in order to get the most from this resource. These tools include websites such as HootSuite, Talkwheel and Commun.it.
HootSuite is a great tool that is currently being used by many companies, it is similar to another site known as  "Tweetdeck". HootSuite allows the user to monitor multiple social networking sites at one once. The user can post the same message from HootSuite to various profiles at the click of a button, for example if the user wants to post a message on twitter and facebook he can send it from HootSuite and the message will appear on both websites. HootSuite also allows the user to schedule posts. This function can be very useful as part of a social media campaign, for example if you want to schedule posts to be released at certain points in your campaign you can schedule them from HootSuite and they will be released at the designated times, saving the user time and making sure the posts are being released on when the user wants them to be.
Another tool that can be used by the P.R professional is Communi.it. Commun.it is a website that can be used in tandem with the social networking site "Twitter", it allows the user to improve the way that they can manage their Twitter profile. It enables the user to identify and to focus on the people they are attempting to engage with the most, for example potential new customers and other followers. This is a great tool as the user can now streamline their "tweets" so they can get the most from their online activities and hopefully gain more followers as a result.
Another web tool that can be utilised as part of the social media revolution is that of Talkwheel. Talkwheel involves the user uniting their brand allowing fans to communicate across various different social media sites in real time. It allows the user to engage more with fans which in turn will help to increase followers.
These tools are just three of the many that are now available to use in conjunction with social media.
The burgeoning P.R professional should use these tools as part of a their social media campaign to achieve maximum results.
By taking advantage of the likes of HootSuite a P.R professionals job can be made easier and can save time, and as the saying goes,"time is money!"
